Microsoft teased new lighter, thinner and smaller variant of Surface Pro on Twitter. The device is named as Surface Go. The new Surface Go is built with the Intel’s Pentium Gold 4415Y processor. This 7th generation dual-core processor has a balance between the performance and the battery life, also it can run fine without fan also. Fanless processors allow the manufacturer to design thinner and lightweight devices.
It weighs around 522 gram which is a little extra then the iPads. Surface Go comes with the 10 inches PixelSense display with 3:2 aspect ratio and 1800 x 1200 resolution. There are no design changes in Surface Go, it has the kickstand and supports the Pen. Microsoft integrated charging port and the 3.1 USB port together.
It could be the good alternative option for the other tablet devices and iPads as it is priced at $399. Separate keyboard cover is also available which could cost around $100. Surface Go is available in total 4 colors and preorders are starting from July 10. Shipping will start from Aug 10.
